Bark Beetle Infestation on Young Chestnut Trees

Dear Mr. Cho,

I have been following your work for some time and greatly value your knowledge and experience in organic farming.

Recently, we have encountered a problem with bark beetles, and several people recommended you as a possible source of help or advice. We have a young plantation of chestnut trees (Bouche de Bétizac and pollinator clones 90044) that have been attacked by bark beetles. About 10% of the trees are affected, mostly the pollinators. The plantation is located in Europe, Croatia.

Do you have experience with this issue, and could you advise us on what to do?

Hello. Nice to meet you. I have published the results of a successful study on coffee berry borer (CBB) conducted for one year at a Hawaiian coffee farm with the support of the Hawaiian state government. I think this method may be helpful. CBB is causing so much damage that it is destroying coffee farming around the world. This method is effective only when it is based on soft water.

Also, JMP, which I recently invented, can be effective. JMP can be used in hard water.
