The body length of a non-winged female oleander aphid adult is 2.5 mm and it is yellow. Its feelers and its legs are black. The body length of a winged female adult is 2.2 mm. Its head, feelers, and chest are yellow. Its mesothorax and its metathorax are black. Its stomach is yellow and the lower part of its cornicle has black patterns. Its cornicle, edge part, and the bottom part are black.

From May to June, non-winged female adults stay in a group on the new plant part of host crops. When its parasitic density increases winged female adults appear and it moves to near tree and breed. If the crops get damaged by the oleander aphid, the shoot growth stops. Moreover, from July to August, it moves to the flower stalk and the parasitic density decreases. However, it increases again during September and stays in a group on flower stalk from the flowering season to the end of the season.

From May to June, the oleander aphids stay in a group on shoots, behind of a leaf and flower stalks and sucks the juice. It causes shoot growth damage.
